Doug Yancy is local to Asheville and continues to call it home. After high school, Doug attended Asheville Buncombe Technical College where he received an Associates in Science Degree. Doug then transferred to Colorado State University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Natural Resource Management with a minor in Wildlife Biology. Doug returned to Asheville after graduation and began managing a local nursery. He remained there for three years and started Yancy Landscapes in early 2000.

Doug has successfully completed the training and examination necessary to qualify as a certified plant professional in the State of North Carolina.

He has done outstanding work for a number of clients including weekly maintenance, landscape design and installation, bi-annual lawn restoration and general outside clean up.
